Closing Cook Job Description We are seeking a dedicated Closing Cook to join our team. This position requires working from 10:30 am to 7 pm, with a rotating schedule that includes Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Saturdays, Sundays, and Thursdays. You will be responsible for preparing trays with correct orders and ensuring the accuracy of each order. Most of the larger volume food will have been prepped by the opening cooks; your role will focus on warming up and ensuring proper amounts of food on each tray. Responsibilities Prepare trays with correct orders and ensure accuracy. Warm up food and ensure proper amounts are served on each tray. Assist in food preparation and maintain high standards of cleanliness and organization. Communicate effectively with the delivery team to meet patients' requests. Utilize iPad/computer for printing order tickets accurately. Essential Skills Experience in food preparation and cooking for large volume operations, such as catering, corporate cafeterias, or universities. Strong kitchen skills and familiarity with large volume operations. Good communication skills to coordinate with the delivery team. Organizational skills to manage tasks efficiently. Additional Skills & Qualifications Ability to use technology, such as iPads or computers, for order management. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Windham, CT. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $23.00/hr.
