Responsibilities Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards, ensuring consistency and quality in every dish Handle food with care, adhering strictly to food safety and sanitation guidelines to prevent contamination Use knife skills proficiently for chopping, slicing, dicing, and other food preparation tasks Support food service operations by plating dishes efficiently and maintaining a clean workstation throughout shifts Participate in catering events or special functions as needed, delivering exceptional meal preparation and presentation Maintain proper food handling procedures during meal preparation, ensuring compliance with health regulations and safety protocols Experience Candidates should possess previous experience in a culinary or kitchen environment, ideally within the food industry or restaurant setting. Experience working in dietary departments or as a dietary aide is highly valued. A background in menu planning, food preparation, cooking, and food service will set you apart. Strong knife skills, knowledge of food safety practices, and familiarity with catering or serving roles are important. Prior kitchen experience combined with a passion for culinary arts will enable you to excel in this role. Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail is essential for success.
