The ideal candidate will have experience in the food industry, particularly within a kitchen environment, and possess a strong understanding of food handling and safety practices. As a Pizza Cook, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality pizzas that meet our standards for taste and presentation, while ensuring a clean and efficient kitchen operation. Working within a team environment and having good communication with other employees and management is essential. Students Apply! Duties Prepare and cook a variety of pizzas according to established recipes and menu specifications. Manage the dough preparation process, including mixing, kneading, and rolling out dough. Select and prepare fresh ingredients, including vegetables, meats, and cheeses for pizza toppings. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, adhering to food safety standards. Assist in menu planning by suggesting new pizza recipes or variations based on seasonal ingredients. Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including ovens, mixers, and knives. Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours. Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, reporting any shortages to management. Prep and line cook experience is required. Some light dishwashing is required as part of the position. Experience Previous experience as a cook in the food industry is preferred; experience specifically in pizza preparation is a plus. Knowledge of culinary techniques related to pizza making and food safety regulations is essential but not required. Willing to train the right candidate that possesses a passion for the food industry and excellent work ethic and communication skills in a new environment. Culinary students feel free to apply, but must be able to show proof of culinary education and background. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Strong knife skills and familiarity with kitchen equipment are required. A passion for cooking and creativity in menu planning will enhance your success in this role.
