This role is important for keeping the kitchen organized, efficient, and ready for smooth service. Responsibilities Prepare ingredients by washing, cutting, chopping, slicing, and portioning items according to daily needs. Assist with basic cooking, plating, and assembling dishes following recipes and kitchen standards. Keep prep areas, utensils, equipment, and storage spaces clean and organized. Follow food safety, sanitation, and proper food handling procedures at all times. Check ingredient quality, freshness, and availability before and during service. Support catering, events, or high-volume prep when needed. Work closely with kitchen staff and servers to help maintain fast and consistent service. Qualifications Previous kitchen, prep cook, dietary aide, or restaurant experience is preferred. Basic knife skills and knowledge of food preparation techniques. Understanding of food safety and cleanliness standards. Ability to work quickly and stay organized in a fast-paced environment. Strong teamwork, communication, and willingness to learn.
