as a Cook Assistant in the vibrant city of Fort Lauderdale, FL! This is an exciting opportunity to support our culinary team in creating delicious dishes and ensuring our kitchen runs smoothly.
Responsibilities:
Assist chefs in preparing and cooking food items according to recipes. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and workstations. Help with inventory management and stock rotation. Support in plating and presentation of dishes. Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines. Assist in the setup and breakdown of kitchen equipment. Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient kitchen operations. Participate in training and development opportunities as needed.
Requirements:
Previous experience in a kitchen or food service environment preferred. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Basic knowledge of food safety practices. Willingness to learn and take direction from chefs. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends. Passion for cooking and working with food. High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
