Please physically come into the La Quinta to fill out an application and to speak with a manager. This is a solo, self-managed position. The hours are about 3pm to 11pm, 5 nights a week. Join our innovative team to help us grow our Bright Side Kichen by La Quinta ghost kitchen program where your passion for food, and dedication to quality will shine in a fast-paced, delivery-focused environment. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing delicious, high-quality meals in a virtual kitchen setting, ensuring every dish meets our standards for taste, presentation, and safety. This position offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your culinary skills and contribute to the further development of a pilot program for the La Quinta brand... all the while working behind the scenes to deliver exceptional dining experiences for off-premise delivery and directly to our guest's rooms as a room service option. Your energy and attention to detail will help us revolutionize the way La Quinta by Wyndham elevates the guest experience by providing a new scalable food and beverage program. Duties Prepare and cook a variety of menu items according to standardized recipes and quality specifications Handle food preparation tasks including chopping, slicing, marinating, and portioning ingredients with precision Maintain strict food safety and sanitation standards throughout all stages of food handling and preparation Manage multiple orders efficiently in a high-volume environment, ensuring timely delivery of each dish Assist with program planning and development by suggesting improvements based on the evolution of the program. Operate kitchen equipment safely and effectively, including knives, ovens, fryers, and other appliances Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations and uphold a positive work environment Count Inventory and place food and beverage orders. Assist with addition duties pertaining to program development. Keeping the kitchen and dry storage clean and organized. Experience Proven background in food preparation, cooking, or restaurant settings—preferably with a fast-paced environment. Strong knowledge of food handling procedures and food safety regulations Skilled in meal preparation techniques and culinary practices within the food industry Demonstrated proficiency in knife skills and food presentation techniques Prior kitchen experience in a fast-paced restaurant or food service environment is preferred Join us and be part of a dynamic team dedicated to delivering exceptional culinary creations that delight our customers!
