Groupers on the Gulf - Indian Rocks Beach, FL Position Summary Groupers on the Gulf is seeking a motivated and reliable Cook to join our kitchen team. The ideal candidate is passionate about food quality, takes pride in their work, and thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. As a Cook, you will play a key role in preparing fresh, high-quality menu items while maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness, safety, and consistency. Responsibilities Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes, portion standards, and presentation guidelines. Ensure all food is prepared and served in a timely manner during busy service periods. Maintain quality, consistency, and accuracy of all dishes leaving the kitchen. Assist with food preparation, stocking, and organization of kitchen stations. Follow all food safety, sanitation, and health department regulations. Monitor product freshness and properly label, date, and store food items. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Work closely with kitchen and front-of-house staff to ensure an exceptional guest experience. Assist with rotating inventory using FIFO (First In, First Out) practices. Complete opening, closing, and cleaning duties as assigned. Qualifications Previous cooking or restaurant kitchen experience preferred. Knowledge of basic cooking techniques, kitchen equipment, and food safety practices. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Strong work ethic, reliability, and positive attitude. Ability to work as part of a team and communicate effectively. Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
