Duties Prepare ingredients and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards Assist in menu planning by suggesting new dishes and flavor combinations Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, adhering to food safety regulations Handle food with care, ensuring proper storage, handling, and sanitation practices Support catering events by preparing large quantities of food efficiently and accurately Serve dishes promptly and professionally, providing excellent customer service when needed Follow all food industry safety protocols to prevent cross-contamination and ensure quality Skills Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, and food handling within a restaurant or food service setting Strong knife skills with the ability to efficiently chop, slice, and prepare ingredients Knowledge of dietary department procedures and dietary aide experience is a plus Ability to plan menus and execute meal preparation with attention to detail Familiarity with kitchen equipment, food safety standards, and sanitation practices Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to work under pressure in a busy environment Experience in catering, serving, or managing multiple tasks simultaneously is advantageous Embark on a culinary journey where your skills make a difference!
