Job Description

Phil Smith Kia & Mitsubishi is a multi-brand dealership seeking a skilled and experienced Automotive Technician to join our team. As an Automotive Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of vehicles. We are looking for individuals with a strong technical background, exceptional problem-solving skills, and a passion for automotive mechanics. Responsibilities:
Perform routine automotive maintenance tasks, including oil changes, tire rotations, and filter replacements. Conduct comprehensive vehicle inspections to identify any potential issues or malfunctions. Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and electronic vehicle systems. Utilize diagnostic tools and equipment to troubleshoot complex automotive problems. Perform repairs and replacements of automotive components, such as brakes, suspension systems, and transmissions. Ensure all repairs and maintenance tasks are completed according to industry standards and manufacturer guidelines. Keep accurate records of all services and repairs performed. Provide excellent customer service by addressing customer concerns and explaining repairs and maintenance procedures. Stay updated on industry advancements, new vehicle technologies, and service procedures through ongoing training and professional development. Adhere to all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area.
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent (Trade school certification or associate degree in Automotive Technology preferred). Proven work experience as an Automotive Technician or similar role. Previous Kia and Mitsubishi experience a plus Strong knowledge of automotive systems, components, and functions. Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment. Familiarity with industry-standard repair manuals and technical resources. Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. Ability to work efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced environment. Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work. Effective communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
