Line Cook The Hospitality Center Miami Beach, FL Job Details Full-time $18 an hour 23 hours ago Qualifications Food production Food handling Pre-cooking preparation Sanitation procedures Cleaning Stocking Full Job Description Growth opportunities: An expanding hospitality brand. Ensure that food is cooked in a timely and efficient manner following the restaurant's recipes. Report to the Executive Chef, Chef de Cuisine, and Sous Chef. Work alongside other team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations. Ensure that all food and products are prepared and served consistently according to the restaurant's recipes, portions, cooking methods, and service standards. We are specifically seeking a line cook , that give support to grill and production for the day and night shift. Ensure that all equipment is kept clean, organized, and in excellent working condition. Communicate effectively with the rest of the team. Ensure that the station is set up and ready to operate at the start of service. Label, date, cover, and properly refrigerate prepared foods for the production line. Perform opening, closing, and side work duties: set up, stock, and break down all kitchen equipment and prep, line, and service stations. Have a sense of urgency. Accurately read items printed on order tickets or in the automated kitchen display system.
Order preparation:
double-check product quality and specifications. Demonstrate thorough product knowledge. Be involved in handling all re-fire procedures, special preparations, large orders, and party/large coupon group orders.

Qualifications:

Experience:
A minimum of 2 years of experience in various kitchen positions is required, including food preparation, line cook, grill cook, and fry cook. A minimum of 6 months of experience in a similar position. Ability to stand or move for long periods of time. General knowledge of all safety and sanitation standards. Recycle products whenever possible. Ability to remain calm in a busy, fast-paced environment. Demonstrate a high level of organization, attention to detail, and sense of urgency. Maintain a positive and openly friendly attitude toward guests and coworkers.
Pay:
$18.00 per hour
