Responsibilities Assist in preparing ingredients by washing, peeling, slicing, chopping, and measuring according to recipe specifications Follow established recipes and food safety guidelines to ensure consistent quality in meal preparation Operate kitchen equipment such as mixers, slicers, ovens, and fryers safely and efficiently Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and equipment by adhering to sanitation standards throughout shifts Support the cooking process by assembling dishes and ensuring timely food production for service periods Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to coordinate meal prep activities and meet service deadlines Assist with inventory management by organizing supplies and notifying supervisors of stock levels or shortages Experience Previous experience in a dietary department or dietary aide role is highly desirable Proven food preparation and cooking experience within a restaurant or food industry setting Familiarity with menu planning, recipe adherence, and meal assembly processes Knowledge of food safety management practices and proper food handling techniques Experience operating kitchen equipment such as slicers, mixers, ovens, and safety tools Strong knife skills with slicing techniques that ensure efficiency and safety during prep work Ability to communicate clearly with kitchen staff and follow safety standards in production environments Join us as a Prep Cook and become an essential part of a passionate team committed to delivering delicious meals while maintaining the highest safety standards.
