OVERVIEW
We are seeking responsible, energetic, fun, and motivated
COOKS + PREP
for a new Kava Bar concept in North Miami! Previous restaurant experience as a cook/chef required. Must be willing to work AM or PM shifts.

Our gastrobar is not just a place to eat and drink; it's a gathering space that resonates with the beats of live music and thrums with the energy of weekly events. RESPONSIBILITIES
Chop, slice, and dice vegetables, fruits, and other ingredients. Follow recipes and prepare dishes according to the menu. Daily use of checklists, and completion of assigned daily/weekly cleaning tasks. Ensure the kitchen and workstations are clean and sanitary. Assist in keeping track of inventory and notifying the General Manager of shortages. Ensure all food items are prepared to the highest standards. Work closely with other staff to ensure timely and efficient service. Follow all food safety regulations and kitchen safety procedures. Help train new kitchen staff as needed. Work independently and efficiently under pressure, especially during busy periods. Ensure dishes are presented in an appealing manner. Accommodate customer dietary restrictions and special requests. Minimize waste by properly using and storing ingredients, maintaining proper rotation of products. Use kitchen equipment safely and responsibly. Prepare for service by setting up stations and ensuring all necessary ingredients and tools are available. Help clean and organize the kitchen after service, including washing dishes, resetting and closing down stations. Perform other relevant duties as assigned by the General Manager.
SKILLS:
Experience in a kitchen setting, with proficiency in cooking and food preparation. Ability to follow recipes and ensure dishes are prepared to high standards. Knowledge of kitchen safety and food handling procedures. Strong organizational skills to maintain clean and sanitary workstations. Ability to work quickly and efficiently during busy periods. Good communication skills to work effectively with other kitchen staff. Ability to accommodate customer dietary restrictions and special requests. Basic inventory management skills to help track and report shortages. Attention to detail to ensure dishes are presented attractively.
