Responsibilities Prepare ingredients and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards Assist in menu planning by suggesting new ideas and improvements based on customer preferences and seasonal ingredients Ensure all food handling procedures comply with food safety regulations to maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment Use knife skills effectively for chopping, slicing, dicing, and other food preparation tasks Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and equipment throughout shifts Support catering events and special functions by preparing large quantities of food efficiently Serve dishes promptly while ensuring presentation quality and portion control are upheld Qualifications Proven experience in dietary department or dietary aide roles is highly desirable Previous restaurant or kitchen experience demonstrating strong food preparation and cooking skills Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling procedures Familiarity with menu planning, meal preparation, and food industry standards Excellent knife skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment Strong understanding of food service operations, including catering and serving techniques Ability to work collaboratively within a team while maintaining attention to detail and high standards Join us as a vital part of our culinary team where your skills will make a real impact!
