Solé Miami is an independent boutique, one of a kind, newly-renovated Miami beachfront hotel. A day in the life... As a Line Cook, you will produce all orders required by business volume and supervisor, as quickly and efficiently as possible, and to produce the highest quality product. You will also produce all orders on an a la carte basis and to prep for buffets, banquets, salad bars and hors d' oeuvres. To be successful in the Line Cook position, you... are eager to learn and take pride in your work seek to work in a beautiful hotel where you constantly meet new people are reliable, have a flexible mind-set and like to smile open up each morning preparing and organizing the station and cooking all food necessary to start serving. Prepare all items for lunch; sauces, soups, buffet entrees, and switch over from breakfast to lunch at the assigned time. Rearrange the line and steam table to facilitate luncheon cooking and service. Prepare all orders as turned in by wait staff and ensures all orders cooked quickly and according to order; also ensures that food leaves the kitchen in peak condition. Learn menus, recipes, preparation, and presentation. Ensure that all food is stored in proper containers and at proper storage and holding temperatures. Prepare all food for next shift and for the following day as required and directed by Supervisor. Maintain the work area, including all counter tops, utensils, equipment, and refrigeration in a clean and sanitary condition in accordance with state, county, and company health regulations and work safety regulations. Requirements Have a minimum of 1 year experience in similar position preferably in a luxury setting. Have excellent communication and organization skills. Reading, writing and oral proficiency in the English language. Willing to work a flexible schedule, including holidays. Be a self-motivator and motivator of others. Must be able to work in a high-pace and dynamic operation. Able to work together with other colleagues. Have a pleasant, friendly and helpful manner. Maintain a clean and healthy personal hygiene and grooming. Work in a safe, prudent and organized manner. Able to handle multiple tasks at one time. Able to consistently delight and satisfy our guest. Able to handle guest requests in a detailed manner.
