Duties Prepare, cook, and plate a variety of menu items according to established recipes and presentation standards Assist with menu planning by providing input on dish preparation and ingredient selection Ensure all food handling and safety protocols are strictly followed to maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards Support food preparation activities including chopping, marinating, portioning, and assembling ingredients Maintain organized workstations, ensuring all kitchen equipment is clean, functional, and stocked with necessary supplies Collaborate with team members to deliver excellent food service efficiently during busy hours Follow proper knife skills techniques for precise cutting, slicing, and dicing of ingredients Support catering events or special functions as needed, ensuring timely meal preparation and presentation Adhere to food industry regulations and company policies related to food safety and sanitation Qualifications Previous experience in a restaurant or food industry setting, particularly in a kitchen environment Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and food handling procedures Experience with dietary department or dietary aide roles is a plus Demonstrated proficiency in menu planning and meal preparation processes Excellent knife skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced setting Familiarity with food safety standards and sanitation practices required by health regulations Ability to work collaboratively within a team while maintaining attention to detail Prior experience in catering or serving is advantageous but not mandatory Join us as a vital part of our culinary team where your skills will shine!
