The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation, and experience in a fast-paced restaurant or food service environment. This role involves preparing and cooking menu items with attention to food safety standards, supporting meal presentation, and ensuring a high-quality dining experience for our guests. Candidates with dietary department or dietary aide experience, as well as culinary background, will be highly valued. This position offers an opportunity to grow within a professional kitchen setting while contributing to a team committed to excellence in food service. Responsibilities Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and quality standards Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including proper food handling and storage Ensure all food safety protocols are followed, including proper sanitation and hygiene practices Support meal preparation for catering events or special functions as needed Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including knives and other culinary tools Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service and customer satisfaction Assist with inventory management, including stock rotation and ordering supplies when necessary Serve food in a professional manner, adhering to restaurant standards Qualifications Previous experience in food industry roles such as dietary aide, dietary department, or restaurant kitchen preferred Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety regulations Excellent proficiency in meal preparation and food handling Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail Knowledge of food industry standards related to sanitation and hygiene practices Team-oriented mindset with good communication skills Prior restaurant or culinary experience is highly advantageous This role provides an engaging opportunity for individuals passionate about culinary arts to develop their skills within a supportive team environment focused on delivering exceptional dining experiences.
