Job Description
We are seeking skilled and passionate Line Cooks to join our culinary team at both The Dahlonega Resort and Vineyard and Kaya Vineyards. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing high-quality dishes according to our menu specifications. The Line Cook will work closely with the kitchen staff to ensure all food items are prepared accurately and efficiently. This role requires attention to detail, creativity, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- 1. Food Preparation
- Execute food preparation tasks in accordance with the menu and recipes.
- Ensure all ingredients are properly measured, chopped, and ready for cooking.
- Adhere to food safety and sanitation standards in the handling and storage of ingredients. 2. Cooking
- Cook and plate dishes according to established recipes and presentation guidelines.
- Monitor and manage cooking times to ensure that food is prepared to perfection.
- Adjust seasoning and flavors as necessary to meet quality standards.
Station Maintenance:
- Maintain a clean and organized work station throughout the shift.
- Regularly clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, utensils, and surfaces.
- Restock ingredients and notify the kitchen manager of any low supplies. 4. Collaboration
- Work closely with other kitchen staff to ensure seamless communication and coordination.
- Communicate effectively with the kitchen team regarding any changes in menu items or special requests.
- Assist in the training of new kitchen staff as needed. 5. Quality Control
- Conduct regular taste tests to ensure the quality of dishes.
- Monitor portion sizes and presentation to meet the restaurant's standards.
- Report any food quality issues to the kitchen manager immediately. 6. Time Management
- Effectively manage time to meet food preparation and service deadlines.
- Coordinate with other kitchen staff to ensure a smooth flow of orders during peak hours. 7. Adherence to Standards
- Follow standardized recipes and portion sizes to maintain consistency.
- Adhere to health and safety guidelines, including proper food handling and storage.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Line Cook in a high-volume kitchen.
- Knowledge of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to food quality.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations.

Full-time Pay:
$15.00- $20.00 per hour Expected hours: 30
