Job Description
Job Summary Join our dynamic culinary team as a Production Cook working shifts including anywhere from Monday through Sunday ranging from start times of 5:00 am - 3:00 pm. In this vital role, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality meals in a fast-paced environment, ensuring food safety standards are met, and supporting the overall kitchen operations. Your culinary expertise and attention to detail will contribute to delivering nourishing and delicious meals to our residents or customers, maintaining the highest standards of food handling and presentation. This position offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your cooking skills while working overnight hours that suit your lifestyle. Duties Prepare and cook a variety of menu items according to standardized recipes and dietary guidelines Assist in menu planning to ensure balanced, nutritious, and appealing meal options Maintain proper food handling, storage, and sanitation procedures in compliance with food safety regulations Support food preparation activities including chopping, portioning, plating, and garnishing dishes Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including knives, ovens, mixers, and other culinary tools Collaborate with dietary staff to accommodate special dietary needs and preferences Ensure all meals are prepared on time and presented attractively for service during overnight hours Experience Previous dietary department or dietary aide experience preferred Experience in food preparation, cooking, or fine dining environments highly desirable Knowledge of menu planning and meal assembly techniques Strong knife skills and proficiency in food handling practices Background in restaurant or catering settings is a plus Familiarity with food safety standards and proper sanitation procedures Demonstrated ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment with attention to detail This role is perfect for passionate culinary professionals eager to bring their skills to a supportive team dedicated to quality meal service.
