Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and energetic to join our vibrant culinary team! In this role, you will be responsible for assisting with meal preparation, ensuring food safety standards are met, and supporting the overall operation of our dietary services. Your enthusiasm and attention to detail will help create a positive dining experience for our residents or guests. Whether you have prior dietary aide experience or are eager to learn, your contribution will be vital in delivering nutritious and delicious meals with care and professionalism. Duties Assist with menu planning and meal preparation according to established recipes and dietary guidelines Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including knives, slicers, ovens, and food processors Prepare food items by slicing, chopping, cooking, and assembling meals while adhering to food safety standards Maintain cleanliness of kitchen areas by cleaning utensils, appliances, counters, and floors regularly Support food handling procedures to ensure proper storage, labeling, and sanitation practices are followed Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to coordinate meal service and address any dietary restrictions or special requests Follow safety standards during all phases of food production to prevent contamination or accidents Qualifications Previous experience in a dietary department or as a dietary aide is preferred but not required; training will be provided for motivated candidates Strong knowledge of food safety management and handling procedures in a food industry setting Experience with menu planning, recipe adherence, and meal preparation techniques Ability to operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently while maintaining high cleanliness standards Excellent communication skills for effective teamwork with kitchen staff and other departments Familiarity with culinary techniques such as knife skills, slicing methods, and cooking processes Knowledge of catering experience or restaurant operations is advantageous but not mandatory Join us in creating nourishing meals that bring joy and comfort!
