Responsibilities Prepare ingredients and cook menu items according to recipes and quality standards Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including ovens, fryers, slicers, and knives Follow food safety guidelines and maintain cleanliness throughout the kitchen environment Assist with menu planning and meal preparation to ensure timely service Collaborate effectively with kitchen staff to coordinate food production and service Ensure proper food handling, storage, and sanitation practices are adhered to at all times Support catering events and special functions by preparing large quantities of food as needed Experience Previous experience in a food service or restaurant environment is highly desirable Strong culinary skills including knife techniques, slicing methods, and cooking methods Knowledge of food safety management and hygiene standards in production environments Experience with dietary department procedures or dietary aide roles is a plus Familiarity with menu planning, recipe adherence, and meal preparation processes Excellent communication skills for effective coordination with kitchen staff Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced setting Embark on a rewarding culinary journey where your skills make a difference every day!
