Responsibilities Prepare and produce hot food items, supporting ordering, portioning, and assembly to ensure timely service Handle, store, and maintain food safely and cost-effectively in compliance with all safety and sanitation standards Monitor and record food and equipment temperatures, maintaining equipment cleanliness and proper operation Follow recipes and procedures to ensure high-quality, safe, and appealing meals Train team members, maintain cleaning logs, manage food inventory, and help reduce waste Demonstrate teamwork, professionalism, and service excellence in alignment with UnityPoint Health values

Qualifications Education:

High School Education or Equivalent required.

Experience:

At least one year of cooking or food service experience and the ability to perform at the cook's level within six months in this position required.

Preferred:

Two years of cooking experience in a healthcare or restaurant setting preferred. License(s)/Certification(s): Food Handler Certification •
