Duties Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and presentation standards, ensuring consistency and quality in every dish Operate various kitchen equipment such as ovens, grills, fryers, and food processors safely and efficiently Assist with menu planning by preparing ingredients and suggesting improvements based on culinary trends and customer preferences Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and cooking equipment to meet health and safety regulations Handle food safely by following proper food handling procedures, including storage, temperature control, and sanitation practices Collaborate closely with kitchen staff to coordinate meal preparation and ensure timely service during busy hours Support catering events by preparing large quantities of food while adhering to recipe specifications and safety standards Practice knife skills with precision, employing slicing techniques that maximize efficiency and safety during food prep Ensure all dishes are prepared in accordance with recipe adherence and quality standards before serving Experience Previous experience working in a restaurant or food service environment is highly preferred Demonstrated culinary experience with knowledge of food industry best practices Familiarity with dietary department procedures or dietary aide experience is a plus Experience in meal preparation for large groups or catering events is advantageous Strong communication skills to effectively coordinate with kitchen staff and front-of-house team Knowledge of safety standards in production environments, including proper food handling and sanitation protocols Ability to operate kitchen equipment safely while maintaining efficiency during high-volume periods Proven ability to follow recipes accurately while demonstrating creativity in meal presentation Join us if you're passionate about crafting delicious dishes, maintaining high safety standards, and delivering memorable dining experiences.
