Full Job Description Position Summary:
Food preparation, serving and clean up of food and equipment for the School Nutrition Department.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED Food service preparation experience desired Be able to read and write English, perform simple arithmetic and follow oral and written direction Be able to do considerable standing and have the ability to lift 50 lbs safely Ability to relate to children Possess good communicative, collaborative, and interpersonal skills Successful completion of a criminal background check and physical capacity profile test will be required upon offer.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES
Personal Performance Criteria Works well with others, maintaining positive and effective communication with school personnel and students Contributes to creating a positive work environment Demonstrates integrity and respects confidentiality Arrives on time and works consistently until the end of his/her scheduled day Takes advantage of professional growth opportunities related to his/her specific job Works independently and with confidence Demonstrates ability to grasp and adjust to new and changing situations Demonstrates initiative and ability to work without close supervision Professional Performance Criteria Performs tasks in a timely manner Responsible for food preparation and acceptability of food before and after preparation Responsible for maintaining serving line Responsible for operation, cleaning, and maintaining all types of equipment Maintains appearance appropriate to job responsibilities (wear uniform type clothing, hair net covering on the hair, and comfortable, safe rubber-soled shoes) Duties and responsibilities as requested by supervisor may vary from time to time
Work Hours:
Monday - Friday 6:15 am to 2:15 pm
