In this role, you will be responsible for preparing delicious, high-quality meals in a fast-paced environment, ensuring every dish meets our standards for taste, presentation, and safety. Duties Prepare and cook a variety of menu items with precision, creativity, and consistency, adhering to established recipes and standards. Assist in menu planning and food presentation to enhance the dining experience. Handle food safely by following proper food handling, storage, and sanitation procedures. Support meal preparation for residents or guests, ensuring timely service during busy weekend shifts. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including equipment and utensils. Collaborate with dietary staff to accommodate special dietary needs and restrictions. Contribute to a positive team environment by assisting colleagues and maintaining high standards of food quality. Experience Previous experience in dietary departments or as a dietary aide is highly desirable. Proven culinary experience in fine dining or restaurant settings demonstrates your ability to deliver exceptional food quality. Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and proper food handling techniques. Skilled in food preparation, cooking techniques, knife skills, and meal assembly. Experience with menu planning, catering, and serving in a food industry setting is advantageous. Familiarity with kitchen equipment operation and general kitchen experience required.
