Food Handler Certification Full Job Description Job Summary:
We are looking for Line Cooks to join our restaurant group. We have immediate openings at our flagship location, The Lively, located at 505 W Bannock Street in Downtown, Boise. We opened our doors in 2020 with the goal of creating the premier dining experience in Boise. In order to reach that goal we need the experience and expertise of professionals. People like you. Successful candidates should have a passion for cooking; strive for excellence in everything that they do; exhibit unwavering grace under pressure on the line; and display integrity in all situations, as they work with their colleagues to create an incomparable dining experience for each and every guest that comes through our doors.
Responsibilities:
Prepare and cook meals to order according to established recipes and guidance from the Chef de Cuisine Ensure that all food items are prepared and cooked to the highest standards of quality, taste, and presentation Set up assigned station with appropriate tools, equipment and food items to ensure quality and quantity of dishes for service Clean and maintain work areas, equipment, and utensils in accordance with local health code Adhere to food safety and sanitation standards in order to provide a safe environment for each other and our guests Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely and efficient service to our guests Work with the Chef de Cuisine to train new team members as requested
Requirements:
A culinary degree or equivalent kitchen experience (1-2 years) Possess strong skills in: organization, knife skills, ingredient identification, and product knowledge Knowledge of cooking techniques, kitchen equipment and local food safety standards Ability to follow recipes and verbal instructions accurately and consistently Attention to detail and ability to work well under pressure Good verbal communication skills Desire to learn and advance in a career in the culinary arts If this sounds like you, please submit your resume and we will reach out to schedule a phone interview to discuss the opportunity in more detail.
