Duties Assist in preparing and serving meals according to established recipes and menu plans, ensuring consistency and quality. Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including knives, slicers, ovens, and other culinary tools. Follow food safety management protocols to maintain hygiene standards during food handling, preparation, and serving. Support the culinary team with food prep tasks such as slicing, chopping, portioning, and plating dishes. Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area by cleaning utensils, equipment, work surfaces, and storage areas regularly. Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to coordinate meal production and ensure timely service delivery. Adhere strictly to safety standards in production processes to prevent accidents or contamination during food handling. Assist with menu planning by providing input on ingredient availability and preparation techniques. Contribute to catering events by preparing large quantities of food while maintaining quality standards. Serve meals to guests or clients in a professional manner that emphasizes excellent customer service. Experience Previous experience working in dietary departments or as a dietary aide is highly preferred. Proven background in food service or restaurant environments demonstrating strong culinary skills. Experience with menu planning, recipe adherence, and meal preparation in a commercial setting. Knowledge of food safety standards in production environments and proper food handling techniques. Skilled in operating various kitchen equipment safely and efficiently. Familiarity with catering services and serving large groups is advantageous. Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with kitchen staff and team members.
