Full Job Description Prep Cook Job Summary:
Nexus of Geneva is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Prep Cook to join our culinary team! As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will play a crucial role in preparing and presenting a wide variety of dishes to our patients, residents, and staff. Responsibilities:
Prepare and cook ingredients for meals, snacks, and special events Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, adhering to all safety and sanitation standards Assist with menu planning, inventory management, and food ordering as needed Work effectively with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth service operations Demonstrate a strong understanding of food safety and handling procedures Perform other related duties as assigned
Requirements:
Previous cooking experience in a similar culinary environment Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods Excellent communication and teamwork skills Basic knowledge of food safety and handling procedures Ability to work varied shifts, including days, evenings, and weekends
