The ideal candidate will have experience working in a fast-paced kitchen environment and possess a strong understanding of wok cooking techniques. This position plays a key role in delivering exceptional food quality, consistency, and guest satisfaction while supporting the restaurant's culinary standards. Responsibilities Set up and stock assigned wok station with all necessary supplies and ingredients. Prepare food for service, including chopping vegetables, portioning proteins, and preparing sauces and garnishes. Execute wok-fired menu items according to chef specifications, recipes, and presentation standards. Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen team to ensure timely service. Follow instructions from the Executive Chef, Sous Chef, and kitchen leadership team. Maintain proper food handling, sanitation, and safety procedures at all times. Ensure all dishes are prepared and plated accurately, consistently, and in a timely manner. Monitor product quality and communicate inventory needs to management. Clean and maintain workstation, equipment, and kitchen areas throughout and after service. Properly store and label leftover food and ingredients according to company standards. Maintain a positive, professional attitude with coworkers and contribute to a collaborative team environment. Qualifications Proven experience as a Wok Cook, Line Cook, Restaurant Cook, or Prep Cook in a high-volume restaurant environment. Strong knowledge of wok cooking techniques, heat management, and Asian culinary methods preferred. Excellent understanding of cooking methods, ingredients, kitchen equipment, and food safety procedures. Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail. Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask during busy service periods. Reliable, punctual, and able to work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Current Food Handler Certification required. Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive motions throughout the shift. Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
