Job Description:
If you meet the qualifications listed below and have a passion for cooking, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity to be part of our team! We are seeking a skilled and experienced cook that will be responsible for preparing and cooking food items according to established recipes and quality standards. The ideal candidate will have a passion for creating delicious dishes and strong attention to detail.
Responsibilities:
Preparing food according to established recipes and quality standards Keeping the kitchen clean, organized, and sanitary Stocking and managing inventory of ingredients and supplies Adapting to changes in menu items or customer needs, such as accommodating special dietary requests Communicating with kitchen staff to ensure orders are accurate and timely Following food safety and sanitation guidelines, including proper storage and labeling of food items Training and mentoring other kitchen staff, including dishwashers and prep cooks, as needed. Managing kitchen equipment and appliances, ensuring they are functioning properly and safely Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
Must be 17 or older High school diploma or equivalent Knowledge of food safety and sanitation Must have or willing to obtain Food Handlers License Knowledge of food preparation techniques and knowledge of cooking techniques Flexible with schedule and can adapt to changing circumstances Follow recipes accurately and consistently Must be able to stand for long periods of time, lift up to 50 lbs, and work in a hot, fast-paced environment Time management skills Application available at: https://warrenjameswinery.com/work-with-us/ Please submit your resume to events@warrenjameswinery.com to be considered for the role of Cook at Warren James Winery.
