This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your culinary skills while working in a fast-paced, team-oriented setting. Responsibilities Prepare and cook meals according to established recipes, safety standards, and portion sizes Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including knives, slicers, ovens, and mixers Assist in menu planning by suggesting new dishes and ensuring ingredient availability Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area by cleaning surfaces, utensils, and equipment regularly Handle food safely by following proper food handling procedures and food safety management protocols Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate meal preparation and ensure timely service Support catering events by preparing large quantities of food while adhering to quality standards Qualifications Previous experience in a food service environment such as restaurants or nursing centers is preferred Demonstrated culinary experience with strong knife skills and slicing techniques Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures Ability to follow recipes accurately and maintain consistency in meal preparation Experience with menu planning, food preparation, and operating kitchen equipment Excellent communication skills for effective teamwork with kitchen staff Dietary department or dietary aide experience is a plus but not required Join us if you're eager to bring your culinary talents to a vibrant team where your skills make a difference!
