Job Summary Join our dynamic culinary team as a Prep Cook and become a vital part of creating delicious, high-quality meals in a fast-paced food service environment. In this role, you will assist in preparing ingredients, supporting kitchen operations, and ensuring food safety standards are met. Your enthusiasm for food preparation and culinary excellence will help deliver exceptional dining experiences to our guests. Responsibilities Prepare ingredients by washing, chopping, slicing, and portioning produce, meats, and other items according to menu specifications Assist in cooking and assembling dishes following established recipes and presentation standards Support menu planning by organizing ingredients and ensuring timely food preparation for service periods Maintain cleanliness and organization of the prep area, adhering to food safety and sanitation guidelines Handle food with care, following proper food handling procedures to prevent contamination Assist with catering orders and special event meal preparations as needed Support the kitchen team during busy periods by providing efficient food preparation assistance Requirements Previous experience in dietary departments or dietary aide roles is preferred but not mandatory; a passion for food service is essential Demonstrated skills in food preparation, cooking, knife handling, and meal assembly Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures Experience in restaurant or kitchen environments within the food industry is highly desirable Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail Strong organizational skills with the ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately Excellent teamwork and communication skills to support a collaborative kitchen atmosphere Join us as a Prep Cook and bring your culinary enthusiasm to life!
