Job Description

Key responsibilities
  • Prepare samosas, pakoras, chaat components, fried appetizers and Indo-Chinese starters.
  • Produce chutneys, dipping sauces, batters, fillings and station mise en place.
  • Operate fryers and other station equipment safely and maintain proper oil quality.
  • Execute orders quickly while maintaining recipe, portion and plating standards.
  • Prepare items for a la carte, lunch buffet, social hour, banquets and private events.
  • Label, date, rotate and store products according to food-safety standards.
  • Communicate ticket timing with the chef-owner and other cooking stations.
  • Maintain a clean, organized and properly stocked workstation.
  • Assist with receiving, inventory and general kitchen production as needed. Qualifications
  • At least 2-3 years of relevant professional kitchen experience is preferred.
  • Experience with Indian appetizers, frying, chaat or Indo-Chinese cooking strongly preferred.
  • Ability to follow recipes and reproduce portions and presentation consistently.
  • Ability to work with urgency and accuracy during high-volume service.
  • Strong sanitation, organization and teamwork habits.
  • Illinois food-handler certification required by the start date. Schedule and employment requirements
  • Full-time availability, including evenings, weekends and holidays as scheduled.
  • Reliable transportation and dependable attendance.
  • Employment is contingent upon authorization to work in the United States.
  • This is a nonexempt position. Overtime is paid at 1.5 times the regular hourly rate for hours worked over 40 in a workweek, as required by applicable law. Benefits and opening details
  • Paid opening training beginning in late November 2026.
  • Employee meal during qualifying scheduled shifts.

$19.00 - $23.00 per hour Expected hours: 48.0 per week
