Core Duties & Responsibilities Stocking:
Ensure your assigned station is fully stocked with food items, sauces, and garnishes.
Order Execution:
Read incoming tickets or listen to verbal instructions from the expediter, preparing food in a fast-paced environment.
Recipe Adherence:
Follow standardized recipes, cooking methods, and portion control to ensure consistency.
Multitasking:
Manage multiple orders with different cook times simultaneously to ensure all components of a dish are ready to serve at the same time.
Quality Control:
Taste food for seasoning and verify that meats and proteins are cooked to the correct internal temperatures.
Presentation:
Arrange, garnish, and present dishes according to the restaurant's aesthetic standards.
Timing:
Coordinate with other line cooks and kitchen staff to ensure the entire table's food is finished and plated simultaneously.
Expediting Hand-off:
Pass finished plates to the waitstaff or expeditor efficiently.
Food Safety:
Handle, store, and rotate all products properly (adhering to FIFO and food storage logs).
Cleanliness:
Maintain a clean workspace during and after your shift, including sanitizing cutting boards, wiping down counters, and washing utensils.
Compliance:
Strictly follow personal hygiene standards and local health department regulations.
Inventory:
Participate in inventory checks and notify the head chef or kitchen manager when supplies run low.
Teamwork:
Assist other cooks in your station or help out across other stations during peak service hours
Pay:
$14.00 - $16.00 per hour
