Responsibilities Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and presentation standards, ensuring consistency and quality. Assist with menu planning and contribute ideas for new dishes or specials that align with culinary trends and customer preferences. Maintain strict food safety and sanitizing procedures to ensure a clean and safe kitchen environment at all times. Handle food production tasks such as food handling, portioning, garnishing, and plating to meet high-volume demands. Support dietary department needs by understanding dietary restrictions and adhering to recipe guidelines for special diets. Collaborate with team members during meal preparation and serving to ensure timely delivery of orders in a high-volume setting. Qualifications Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is highly preferred; dietary aide or catering experience is a plus. Strong knife skills and proficiency in cooking techniques such as grilling, braising, poaching, and food preparation are essential. Knowledge of food safety management practices, including sanitizing procedures and proper food handling protocols. Experience operating kitchen equipment safely and efficiently in a fast-paced setting. Familiarity with menu planning, recipe adherence, and high-volume production processes. Excellent teamwork skills combined with the ability to work independently under pressure.
