Job Description

Job Summary Join our dynamic culinary team as a Prep Cook and become a vital part of delivering delicious, high-quality meals in a fast-paced environment. In this role, you will assist in preparing ingredients, assembling dishes, and supporting the kitchen staff to ensure smooth and efficient food service. Your enthusiasm for food preparation and attention to detail will help create a welcoming dining experience for our guests. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your culinary skills while contributing to a vibrant food service operation. Responsibilities Prepare ingredients by washing, peeling, chopping, and measuring to support daily menu needs Assist in cooking and assembling dishes according to established recipes and standards Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, utensils, and equipment in compliance with food safety regulations Follow proper food handling procedures to ensure safety and quality standards are met Support menu planning efforts by preparing ingredients for upcoming meals or special events Assist with catering setup and serving when required, ensuring timely delivery of food items Collaborate with kitchen staff to streamline food preparation processes and improve efficiency Qualifications Previous experience in dietary departments or as a dietary aide is preferred but not required; willingness to learn is valued Experience in food preparation, cooking, or restaurant settings is highly advantageous Strong knife skills and knowledge of meal preparation techniques are essential Familiarity with food safety protocols and proper food handling practices Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to follow directions accurately Basic understanding of menu planning, catering, and food service operations is a plus Embark on a rewarding culinary journey with us!
