Job Description

Job description: TBC, a private beach club on Cape Cod, is looking for a Prep Cook to join our kitchen team for the summer season. As a Prep Cook, you will assist with preparing ingredients, including chopping, marinating, and portioning, while gaining valuable experience in the kitchen. This position offers an excellent opportunity to learn the fundamentals of cooking in a professional, fast-paced environment. While TBC operates only through October, it offers a rewarding and memorable seasonal experience. It opens on June 13th, with orientation starting the first week of June.

Responsibilities:

Assist in preparing and organizing ingredients for daily meals and special events. Chop, marinate, portion, and perform other food prep tasks according to recipes and chef instructions. Maintain a clean and organized prep area, following food safety and sanitation guidelines. Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to ensure efficient kitchen operations. Assist with stocking ingredients and managing inventory. Ensure all prep work is completed in time for service.

Qualifications:

No prior kitchen experience is required; a passion for cooking and learning is essential. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Must be able to work flexible hours, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays. Why Work at TBC?
