Job Description
Job Summary Join our dynamic culinary team as a Line Cook specializing in the Salad Station! In this energetic role, you will be the key player in preparing fresh, vibrant salads and accompaniments that delight our guests. Your culinary skills and attention to food safety will ensure every dish meets our high standards of quality and presentation. This position offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your food preparation expertise in a fast-paced, fine dining environment while contributing to memorable dining experiences. Duties Prepare and assemble a variety of salads, dressings, and garnishes according to established recipes and presentation standards Maintain cleanliness and organization of the salad station, ensuring all tools and ingredients are properly stored and sanitized Follow food safety protocols diligently, including proper handling, storage, and disposal of ingredients Assist with menu planning by suggesting seasonal or creative salad options to enhance the menu offerings Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of dishes during service hours Monitor ingredient levels and communicate supply needs to ensure the station is fully stocked for service Support overall kitchen operations by assisting with food preparation tasks as needed, including other cold dishes or prep work Experience Previous dietary department or dietary aide experience is highly desirable, demonstrating familiarity with food handling and safety procedures Proven culinary experience in a restaurant or fine dining setting, emphasizing salad or cold dish preparation Strong knife skills and proficiency in food preparation techniques Experience with menu planning, catering, or meal assembly in a fast-paced environment Knowledge of food safety standards and proper sanitation practices within the food industry Demonstrated ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail Excellent teamwork and communication skills to coordinate effectively with kitchen staff and front-of-house teams
