Responsibilities Prepare ingredients and cook menu items according to established recipes and quality standards Operate various kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including ovens, grills, slicers, and food processors Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, adhering to strict food safety and sanitation protocols Assist with meal assembly, plating, and presentation to ensure visual appeal Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to coordinate food preparation and service flow Follow food handling procedures to ensure safety and compliance with health regulations Support menu planning efforts by suggesting improvements based on ingredient availability and customer preferences Requirements Previous experience in food preparation, restaurant kitchens, or catering environments is highly preferred Strong knife skills with proficiency in slicing techniques and ingredient portioning Knowledge of food safety management practices and safety standards in production environments Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail Excellent communication skills for effective teamwork within the kitchen staff Familiarity with culinary techniques, food industry standards, and meal preparation processes Experience with dietary department procedures or dietary aide roles is a plus but not required This role is perfect for motivated individuals eager to grow their culinary career while contributing to a lively team environment.
