Duties Prepare ingredients and assemble dishes according to established recipes and menu specifications Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including ovens, mixers, slicers, and fryers Follow food safety standards meticulously to ensure proper handling, storage, and sanitation Assist with meal preparation for various service periods, maintaining consistency and quality Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and kitchen tools throughout shifts Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to coordinate food production and timing Support catering events by preparing large quantities of food while adhering to safety and quality guidelines Experience Prior experience in a food industry setting such as restaurants or catering is highly preferred Knowledge of dietary department procedures and dietary aide experience is a plus Demonstrated proficiency in food preparation, knife skills, slicing techniques, and recipe adherence Familiarity with food safety management practices and safety standards in production environments Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with kitchen team members Experience with menu planning, meal prep, and operating various kitchen equipment is desirable This role is perfect for motivated individuals eager to develop their culinary expertise in a fast-paced environment.
