Schedule:
Full Time, Part Time, Weekends
Salary:
 $23-$25 per hour

Job Purpose:
Work closely with the Executive Chef to Director to provide residents with a high level of customer service while promoting a restaurant style dining experience.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Participate in preparing and cooking meals according to established recipes and approved menus.
  • Complies with quality and consistency of the food to include food temperatures, portion control, palatability and attractiveness of food.
  • Applies "5 Star" customer service approach in all aspects of job.
  • Perform defined work routines using various dietary utensils, supplies and equipment as assigned by supervisor.
  • Follow cleaning duties as assigned and scheduled.
  • Required to perform duties efficiently in order to accomplish tasks in allotted time.
  • Required to assist in the cleaning of the kitchen equipment, food storage area, and supply areas according to the facility schedule.
  • Required to remove garbage from the kitchen and to clean trash containers. As needed.
  • Assist in receiving and storing food and supplies.
  • Complies with schedule as established by supervisor and attends scheduled department staff meetings.
  • Completes ongoing in-services, training and education
  • Compliant with and maintains all regulatory documentation on dining standards to ensure Federal, State and Local regulatory compliance
  • Adheres to all company policies, procedures, and standards of conduct.
  • Reports to the appropriate managers any known or suspected violations of policy and procedures, regulations or standards of conduct.
  • Committed to working with residents and families to develop and implement strategies that promote person-centered care.
  • Actively supports Wingate's commitment to providing "5 Star" service on all quality objectives, with an emphasis on continual improvement.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned.
Position Requirements:
  • Successful completion of ServSafe certification course preferred.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Minimum of three years' experience as a Cook in a food service environment required.
  • Must be detail oriented and able to manage multiple priorities.
  • Must be willing to assist at another facility for coverage or help during an emergency; travel will be reimbursed.
