Company Overview Valley View School is a dedicated therapeutic boarding school serving boys in grades 6-12 since 1970. Nestled on a sprawling 215-acre campus surrounded by forest and rolling hills, our community fosters growth through a well-rounded, supportive program that balances high expectations with compassionate interventions. Job Overview Valley View School is seeking a dependable and caring Part-Time Cook to support our kitchen team. This position helps prepare and serve meals for students and staff while maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary kitchen environment. Valley View School is a small, relationship-based therapeutic boarding school in Central Massachusetts serving boys ages 10-15. Our kitchen staff plays an important role in supporting the daily life of the school by providing nutritious meals in a welcoming and structured community setting. The ideal candidate is reliable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a school environment. Prior food preparation experience is preferred. Responsibilities
  • Prepare meals as scheduled by the Kitchen Supervisor/Chef
  • Obtain food and supplies as directed
  • Prepare and serve food in a sanitary manner
  • Ensure the cleanliness of the kitchen
  • Follow menus prepared by the Kitchen Supervisor/Chef
  • Assist with dishes, cleanup, and kitchen organization as needed
  • Perform other related tasks as assigned Qualifications
  • Experience in food preparation preferred
  • ServSafe and Allergen Awareness training preferred, or willingness to complete training
  • Dependable, trustworthy, and willing to work
  • Comfortable working around students and staff in a school setting
  • Ability to follow directions and work as part of a team
