Job Description

Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Line Cook / Kitchen Helper to join our kitchen team. This role is essential in ensuring smooth and efficient food preparation and kitchen operations. The ideal candidate has a strong work ethic, a passion for food, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining cleanliness and quality standards. This is a hands-on, collaborative role in a busy kitchen and food service setting. Day-to-day duties may include prepping and cooking items for sale on our cold wall, preparing hot side orders, working at the sandwich counter, and/or preparing food in our on-site food truck. Early morning shifts; weekends and holidays required.
Job Responsibilities:
Assist with ingredient prep, including washing, chopping, and portioning vegetables and other items Prepare a variety of salads, side dishes, entrees, sauces, and other items according to established recipes Prepare hot side orders throughout the day as customers order Work at the customer-facing sandwich counter, preparing sandwiches and using the grill Work in our on-site food truck, preparing quick service items Operate kitchen equipment such as fryolators, ovens, and stoves to prepare food items Properly store food items and monitor inventory levels Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work environment in accordance with food safety standards Assist with dishwashing, restocking supplies, and general cleaning duties as needed Perform additional kitchen duties as assigned by management
Qualifications:
Must be 18+ years old Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks Ability to stay focused and productive in tight, fast-paced workspaces Comfortable working in a hot kitchen environment without air conditioning Weekend and holiday availability required Comfortable working in customer-facing food service roles Willingness to take on a variety of kitchen roles throughout the day Must maintain a positive, energetic, and professional attitude Strong communication and customer service skills Ability to work both independently and collaboratively Strong organizational and time management skills Ability to consistently follow and execute recipes with accuracy Basic knowledge of kitchen equipment and food safety practices ServSafe certification is a plus Previous kitchen or food prep experience preferred
Pay:
$17.00 - $19.00 per hour
