Job Description
Overview We are seeking a skilled and passionate Line Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in food preparation, kitchen operations, and food safety to deliver exceptional dining experiences. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, contributing to menu creation and ensuring high-quality meal service for our guests. Candidates with experience in fine dining, catering, or the food industry are encouraged to apply. Duties Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards, ensuring consistency and quality. Assist with menu planning and ingredient selection to support culinary creativity and efficiency. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including proper food handling and sanitation practices. Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including knives and other culinary tools. Support food presentation and plating to meet visual standards. Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service during busy periods. Follow all food safety regulations and procedures to uphold health standards. Assist with catering events or special functions as needed. Contribute to inventory management by monitoring supplies and notifying management of shortages. Qualifications Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or a related culinary role; restaurant or fine dining experience is preferred. Strong knife skills and knowledge of various cooking techniques. Familiarity with menu planning, food safety protocols, and food handling procedures. Experience working in the food industry, including dietary aide or dietary department experience is a plus. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Excellent teamwork, communication skills, and a positive attitude. Knowledge of catering services or serving is advantageous. Culinary education or certification is beneficial but not required.
