Duties Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and presentation standards, ensuring consistency and quality. Assist in menu planning by suggesting new dishes and seasonal specials that excite our guests. Handle food with care, following proper food handling procedures to ensure safety and hygiene at all times. Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, including knives, utensils, and cooking equipment, adhering to sanitation guidelines. Support food service operations by coordinating with servers and kitchen staff to deliver timely meals. Participate in food preparation tasks such as chopping, marinating, portioning, and assembling ingredients for various dishes. Contribute to catering events by preparing large quantities of food while maintaining flavor integrity and presentation. Qualifications Previous experience in a dietary department or dietary aide role is highly desirable, demonstrating familiarity with specialized meal requirements. Proven kitchen experience within a restaurant or food industry setting, showcasing strong culinary skills including knife techniques and meal preparation. Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures to ensure compliance with health regulations. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and support service operations. Experience with menu planning, food preparation, cooking techniques, and catering is a plus. A passion for culinary arts combined with a positive attitude and eagerness to learn.
