The Cook will be responsible for preparing, cooking, and presenting food items in accordance with established recipes, safety standards, and quality guidelines. This role plays a vital part in delivering exceptional dining experiences by ensuring all meals are prepared efficiently, safely, and to the highest standards. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in food preparation, kitchen operations, and food safety management, contributing to a clean, organized, and productive kitchen environment. Duties Prepare and cook a variety of menu items following standardized recipes and portion controls to ensure consistency and quality. Operate kitchen equipment such as ovens, stoves, mixers, and slicing machines safely and efficiently. Maintain high standards of food safety and sanitation by adhering to proper food handling procedures and cleaning protocols. Assist with menu planning by providing input on ingredient availability and preparation methods. Collaborate effectively with kitchen staff to coordinate meal preparation and ensure timely service. Manage food inventory levels, monitor expiration dates, and assist with ordering supplies as needed. Ensure all dishes meet safety standards in production, presentation, and taste before serving. Support catering events or special meal requests with precision and professionalism. Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and equipment to uphold hygiene standards. Communicate clearly with team members regarding daily tasks, special dietary needs, or modifications. Qualifications Proven experience in food industry roles such as restaurant cook or dietary aide with a focus on meal preparation. Strong knowledge of culinary techniques including knife skills, slicing techniques, and recipe adherence. Experience working within dietary departments or healthcare settings is preferred. Familiarity with food safety management systems and safety standards in production environments. Ability to operate various kitchen equipment safely and efficiently. Excellent communication skills for effective coordination with kitchen staff. Knowledge of menu planning, food handling procedures, and catering experience is advantageous. Demonstrated ability to maintain cleanliness standards through proper cleaning routines. Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is highly desirable. TJB01
