Job Description
Job Summary:
As a Line Cook, you will play a crucial role in our kitchen, preparing and cooking a variety of menu items to meet our high standards of quality and presentation. You'll work closely with the kitchen staff to ensure timely service and maintain a clean, organized workspace.Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and specifications.
- Ensure all food is prepared in a timely manner while maintaining high quality and presentation standards.
- Assist in the setup and breakdown of the kitchen at the beginning and end of each shift.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including workstations, equipment, and utensils.
- Follow health and safety guidelines, including proper food handling and sanitation procedures.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operation during busy service times.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed.
- Engage positively with team members and contribute to a fun, energetic work environment.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a line cook or in a similar kitchen role preferred but willing to train the right applicant.
- Knowledge of cooking techniques, equipment, and food safety practices.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and some holidays as needed.
- Culinary certification is a plus, but not required.
