Job Description
Overview We are hiring a cold side cook for 3 days a week, approximately 18-20 hours. We need an experienced person in the fine dining field. Responsibilities Prepare cold menu items including salads, appetizers, garnishes, and other cold dishes according to established recipes and presentation standards Assist with menu planning by suggesting innovative cold dish ideas and ensuring ingredient availability Follow food safety sanitizing procedures rigorously to maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment Operate kitchen equipment such as refrigerators, slicers, mixers, and food prep tools efficiently and safely Handle food production tasks with accuracy, ensuring portion control and recipe adherence for consistency Support the culinary team in food handling, storage, and inventory management to minimize waste and optimize freshness Maintain a high level of cleanliness in the work area, adhering to all health regulations and safety protocols Skills Proven dietary aide experience or background in food preparation within a culinary or dietary department setting Strong menu planning skills with an eye for presentation and flavor balance Fine dining experience that emphasizes attention to detail and quality standards Expertise in food preparation techniques such as poaching, braising, grilling, and meal assembly Knowledge of operating kitchen equipment safely and efficiently in a high-volume production environment Excellent knife skills coupled with experience in food handling and food safety management Ability to follow recipes precisely while maintaining flexibility for special requests or dietary restrictions Join us if you're passionate about culinary excellence!
