Responsibilities Prepare ingredients and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards, ensuring consistency and quality. Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including ovens, grills, fryers, and slicers. Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, adhering to food safety and sanitation protocols at all times. Assist with meal assembly, plating, and presentation to meet aesthetic standards. Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to coordinate food preparation and delivery times. Follow food handling procedures to ensure safety and prevent cross-contamination. Support menu planning efforts by providing input on ingredient availability and preparation techniques. Requirements Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or restaurant settings; dietary aide or dietary department experience is a plus. Strong knife skills with proficiency in slicing techniques and ingredient portioning. Knowledge of food safety management practices and adherence to safety standards in production environments. Ability to operate various kitchen equipment safely and efficiently. Excellent communication skills for effective teamwork within the kitchen staff. Experience in food service or catering environments preferred; culinary experience is highly valued.
