Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and energetic Part-Time Facility Cook to join our dynamic team! In this vital role, you will be responsible for preparing delicious, nutritious meals in a fast-paced environment, ensuring all food safety standards are meticulously followed. Your culinary expertise will help create a welcoming atmosphere for our community, providing high-quality meal service that meets dietary needs and promotes well-being. This position offers flexible hours and an opportunity to develop your culinary skills while making a meaningful impact. Duties Prepare and cook a variety of meals following established recipes and dietary guidelines Assist with menu planning to accommodate dietary restrictions and preferences Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including grills, braising pans, poaching stations, and food production machinery Maintain strict food safety and sanitizing procedures to ensure a clean and hygienic kitchen environment Handle food with care, adhering to proper food handling techniques during preparation and service Support dietary department needs by assisting with meal assembly and portioning for high-volume production Ensure all food is presented attractively and served promptly to maximize customer satisfaction Experience Previous dietary aide or culinary experience in a food service setting preferred Familiarity with menu planning, recipe adherence, and food preparation techniques such as braising, grilling, poaching, and other cooking methods Experience operating commercial kitchen equipment safely and effectively Knowledge of food safety management practices and sanitizing procedures in a professional kitchen environment Background in food handling within the food industry or restaurant settings is highly desirable Join us as a Part-Time Facility Cook to bring your culinary talents to life while supporting our community's nutritional needs.
