Cook A Cook is a key role in our business. One could look at the job and say primarily you cook and prepare large amounts of food...and that would be true. However, being a cook is about much more than a list of tasks. It is about relationships and making people's day better each and every time you come in contact with them. When you do that, you, as a Hope Landing Cook, will become part of our residents' family, and that will not only change their lives, but yours as well. 11.5-hour shifts. Full Time is at least 3 days a week, generally 4 days. Pay from $14.85-22.27 Hourly (Wage calculated with a set pay scale, initially determined by education, experience, and certifications) Full Time Available OT Available 11.5 Hour Shifts Flexible Schedules No Mandating Shifts or OT Experience Appreciated But Not Required Qualifications Proven experience in food preparation and cooking within a restaurant or culinary environment Strong food handling and service skills Familiarity with dietary department operations and menu planning Experience in fine dining and catering services Excellent knife skills and meal preparation techniques Background in food industry standards and kitchen operations Responsibilities Prepare and cook a variety of meals according to established recipes and dietary guidelines. Ensure proper food handling and sanitation practices are followed in the kitchen. Assist in menu planning and meal preparation for special events or dietary needs. Collaborate with kitchen staff to maintain a smooth workflow during service. Provide excellent food service to guests, ensuring a high level of satisfaction. Maintain kitchen equipment and work areas in a clean and organized manner. Summary As a Culinary Professional, you will be essential in delivering high-quality food preparation and service within our establishment. Reporting to the Food Service Director, your core skills in cooking, meal preparation, and food handling will ensure that each dish meets our culinary standards. Your premium experience in menu planning and fine dining will elevate our offerings, while your relevant skills in catering and serving will enhance the overall guest experience.
